Membrane nitrogen generator is a device that uses membrane separation technology to produce nitrogen. The following is an introduction to its working principle, structural composition, characteristics and application areas:
Working Principle
The core of the membrane nitrogen generator is the hollow fiber membrane assembly. After being compressed by the compressor, the air enters the membrane nitrogen generator. Under the action of pressure, the solubility and diffusion rate of various gas molecules in the air in the membrane are different. Gases with a relatively small molecular weight, such as oxygen and water vapor, have a faster solubility and diffusion rate in the membrane and can be quickly discharged through the membrane wall; while gases with a relatively large molecular weight, such as nitrogen, have a slower diffusion rate in the membrane, so they are enriched on the other side of the membrane to form high-purity nitrogen.
Structural composition
Air compression system: It consists of an air compressor, a gas storage tank, etc. Its function is to compress the air to a certain pressure to provide power for subsequent membrane separation.
Air pretreatment system: It includes filters, dryers and other equipment. The filter is used to remove solid particles such as dust and impurities in the air, and the dryer is used to reduce the humidity of the air, prevent moisture from damaging the membrane assembly, and extend the service life of the membrane.
Membrane separation system: It is the core part of the membrane nitrogen generator, mainly composed of hollow fiber membrane assemblies. The pre-treated compressed air enters the membrane separation system, and the membrane separates nitrogen from other gases.
Control system: used to monitor and control the operating status of the membrane nitrogen generator, including the monitoring and adjustment of parameters such as pressure, flow, purity, etc., to ensure the stable operation of the equipment and the nitrogen produced meets the quality requirements.
Features
Easy operation: high degree of automation, one-button start-up, no complicated operation process, operators can take up their posts after simple training.
Low maintenance cost: the membrane component has stable performance and long service life, and the equipment structure is relatively simple, without complex moving parts, so the maintenance workload is small and the maintenance cost is low.
Fast gas production speed: qualified nitrogen can be produced in a short time after startup, which can quickly meet the user's nitrogen demand.
Adjustable purity: by adjusting the operating parameters of the membrane component or increasing the number of membrane components, nitrogen of different purities can be produced to meet the needs of different users.
Application field
Chemical industry: used as protective gas in the production, storage and transportation of chemical products to prevent product oxidation, moisture, etc., and improve product quality and stability. For example, in the production process of plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene, nitrogen is used as a protective gas to prevent oxidative degradation of polymer particles during storage and transportation.
Electronics industry: In the manufacturing and packaging of electronic components, high-purity nitrogen is needed as a protective gas to prevent electronic components from being affected by impurities such as oxygen and moisture in the air, and to improve the reliability and performance of products. For example, in the manufacturing process of semiconductor chips, nitrogen is widely used in photolithography, etching, cleaning and other process links.
Food industry: used for food packaging, storage and preservation. Packaging food in a nitrogen-filled environment can eliminate oxygen, inhibit the growth of bacteria and mold, extend the shelf life of food, and maintain the color, taste and nutritional content of food. For example, nitrogen is often filled in the packaging of snack foods such as potato chips and nuts.
Pharmaceutical industry: In the production process of drugs, nitrogen can be used as a protective gas for drying, crushing, packaging and other links of drugs to prevent oxidation and deterioration of drugs. In addition, in the medical field, nitrogen can also be used for purging and replacement of medical equipment.
