DR type pressure valve is a pilot-operated pressure reducing valve, which is controlled by a secondary circuit. They mainly consist of main valve (1) with main valve and insert (3) and pilot valve (2) with pressure adjustment element.
In the static position, the valve is open and oil can flow freely from port B through the main spool insert (3) to port A.
The pressure in port A acts on the bottom side of the main spool. At the same time, the pressure acts on the ball valve (6) in the pilot valve (2), acts on the spring loaded side of the main spool (3) through the orifice (4), and through the oil port (5). The same pressure acts on the ball valve (6) through the orifice (7), the control oil circuit (8), the check valve (9) and the orifice (10). According to the setting of the spring (11), the ball valve ( 6) Pressure builds up in the front, in port (5) and in the spring chamber (12), keeping the control piston (13) in the open position.
Oil can flow freely from port B through the main spool insert (3) to port A until the pressure in port A exceeds the setting value of the spring (11) and opens the ball valve (6). The control piston (13) moves to the closed position, and when the pressure in oil port A reaches the level between the pressure set by the spring, the desired decompression pressure is obtained. The control oil is discharged from the spring chamber (14) to the oil tank from the outside through the control oil circuit (15). Free return flow from port A to B can be achieved by installing an optional check valve (16). The pressure gauge connection (17) allows monitoring of the reduced pressure in port A.
