What is matte effect in daily life?

We can see many goods with matte effect in daily life. We just ignore them when we pass by for life. Normally we can also

see many furnitures in our house is covered with matte effective coating. Then what does that mean for "matte effect" ?

It just like colours which can easy to attract our sights to form a subjective impression. It might cause vision obstruction  

when a light reflects from a smooth surface to our eyesight. 

How can silicon dioxide used in wood coating?

SiO2 powder is also called as silicon dioxide or silica powder. It is a chemical material that often used as additive.Our 

silicon dioxide product SL-685 can be used in wooden formulations. Silicon dioxide (SiO2) is usually used as a filler or 

thickener in wood coatings. It can improve the hardness, wear resistance and scratch resistance of the paint film, and 

also increase the smoothness and hiding power of the paint surface. Silica particles can form a protective layer to 

prevent moisture from penetrating into the wood, thereby extending the service life of wood. In the formulation of wood 

coatings, silica can be used alone or mixed with other ingredients such as pigments, resins, solvents, etc. Common types 

of silica include fumed silica (such as white carbon black), precipitated silica, etc. However, when using it, it is necessary 

to adjust its addition amount according to the specific product requirements and paint system to ensure a balance 

between film performance and construction performance.

1. Improve the paints' durability - silicon dioxide can enhance the topcoats hardeness and scratch resistance which can

due to the unstable temperature and wetness.
