Polyester properties:

High strength. The short fiber strength is 2.6 ~ 5.7cN/dtex, and the high strength fiber is 5.6 ~ 8.0cN/dtex. Due to its low hygroscopic properties, its wet strength is basically the same as its dry strength. The impact strength is 4 times higher than polyamide and 20 times higher than viscose fiber.

Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to wool, and when it is extended by 5% to 6%, it can be almost completely restored. Wrinkle resistance is more than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle, and the dimensional stability is good. The elastic modulus is 22 ~ 141cN/dtex, which is 2 ~ 3 times higher than polyamide fiber.

Good wear resistance. The wear resistance is second only to the best wear resistance of nylon, better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.

Good light resistance. Light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber.

Corrosion resistance. Resistant to bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. Resistant to dilute alkali, not afraid of mildew, but hot alkali can make it decompose.

Polyester imitation silk strong, bright luster, but not soft enough, with a flash effect, feel smooth, flat, good elasticity. Hold the silk tightly by hand and loosen without obvious crease. After wetting the warp and weft with water, it is not easy to tear.
