Synchronous Motor

A synchronous motor is a type of electric motor commonly used in industrial and household appliances.  It is characterized by the ability to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, and the speed is synchronized with the power supply frequency.  

Synchronous motor consists of stator and rotor.  There are three mutually balanced windings on the stator, which are respectively connected to the three-phase AC power supply.  The rotor is composed of a magnet, and the magnetic field of the magnet interacts with the magnetic field of the stator winding to produce torque.  

The working principle of synchronous motors is to use the interaction of electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic force.  When the three-phase AC power supply is energized, the stator winding will generate a rotating magnetic field, and the magnet on the rotor will be subjected to the force of the magnetic field, thus starting to rotate.  Because the magnetic field of the rotor is synchronized with the magnetic field of the stator winding, it is called a synchronous motor.  

Synchronous motor has the advantages of stable speed, large torque and high efficiency.  It is widely used in wind turbine, hydroelectric turbine, industrial machinery, electric vehicle and other fields.  

Synchronous motor models and specifications are diverse, you can choose the right model according to different application needs.  Common synchronous motors are permanent magnet synchronous motors, induction synchronous motors and so on.
