Mercedes digital Light uses advanced clear projection technology and embeds more than 1 million controllable microlenses in each headlight. Similar to ordinary matrix LED headlights, this system also uses cameras. Radar sensors identify other traffic participants on the road and use algorithms to control the range of light exposure.

Digital headlights for Mercedes-Benz  were first demonstrated at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Compared with ordinary car LED headlights, the digital headlights have glare-free high-definition quality and a resolution of more than 2 million pixels, with each headlight having a resolution of more than one million pixels. DIGITAL LIGHT can not only create more ideal lighting conditions in the dark night, but also project high-definition symbols onto the road. Just like a projector, the headlights can not only provide information directly in the driver's field of vision, but also make it more compatible with surrounding vehicles or Communicate while driving. Headlights for Mercedes Benz EQE, GLC and other models adopt this technology.
