40Nm3/hr Liquid Ammonia Cracker for heat treatment furnace1

An ammonia cracker, NH3-Cracker or hydrogen generator is used for the production of forming gas. Hydrogen and Nitrogen are generated in a cost effective way in a volume ratio of 3 : 1 or in a weight ratio of 14 : 3. Capacities from 5m3/h to 250m3/h are available.
Working Principle:
Ammonia Cracker for generation of forming gas, takes liquid ammonia as the source. Having being vaporized, the ammonia then is heated and decomposes into the forming gas with 25% nitrogen and 75% hydrogen under the action of catalyst. In theory, one Kg of ammonia can produce 2.64 Nm3 mixed gas.

Our equipment possesses the characteristics and advantages of compact structure, low space requirement, small investment, simple operation, low energy consumption and long service life.

Supported by and combined with the XRFC series purifying equipment of our company, the higher purity forming gas can be obtained. However, the ammonia as source must be of first class or above, to be exact, the purity of the source ammonia must be no less than 99.8%.
