In terms of installation methods, cartridge valves can be divided into slip-in and screw-in types. The slip-in cartridge valve, often referred to as a two-way cartridge valve or logic element, typically requires an additional pilot control valve to operate. The screw-in cartridge valve, also known as the threaded cartridge valve, can usually complete one or more hydraulic functions independently after being installed in the mounting hole, such as overflow valves, electromagnetic directional valves, flow control valves, counterbalance valves, and so on.

The structure of a cartridge valve typically includes an insert, a pilot control valve, a control cover plate, an integrated block, and other components. These parts work together to enable the cartridge valve to play an important role in the hydraulic system.
