Steel Structure Workshop Requirement
12 month agoThe dimensions of a Steel C Channel are usually defined by its width, height and wall thickness, different manufacturers and national standards may vary. Belows are some examples of common C Section Steel Channel specification dimensions:
Width: The width of C Section Steel refers to the width of the openings where the commonly used width are 50 mm, 70mm, 90mm and 120mm.
Height: The height of a Slotted C Channel is the vertical dimension that is measured from the bottom surface of support to the top edge of the opening, the commonly used heights are 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm.
Wall Thickness: The C Section Steel’s wall thickness means the thickness of its two sides. Its common side wall thicknesses are 2. 5mm, 3. 0mm, 3. 5mm and 4. 0mm.
As an illustration, a channel specification of a common steel would be specified as 'C50x50x3', where ‘C50’ refers to a width of 50mm, ‘50’ refers to a height of 50mm, ‘3.0’ refers to a wall thickness of 3.0mm.
Steel C Channel selection should be based on the parameters of the actual project as well as the load requirements and match the indices of the relevant national standards or industry for subsequent acquisition.
