Structure and working principle
The core component of a stainless steel three-way ball valve is a sphere with three channels, and different channel openings on the sphere correspond to different pipe connection methods, commonly including L-shaped and T-shaped. L-type three-way ball valve is used for switching the flow direction of the medium, which can connect two perpendicular channels; The T-shaped three-way ball valve is used for the diversion, merging, and flow direction switching of the medium, which can connect the three channels to each other or connect two of them.
In terms of working principle, stainless steel three-way ball valves mainly rely on the rotation of the ball to achieve valve opening and closing. When the sphere rotates 90 degrees, it can complete the action from fully open to fully closed, which is easy and fast to operate. The sealing performance of ball valves is good because the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium during use, avoiding the erosion of the sealing surface by the medium.

Difference from other valve
Compared to other types of valves such as gate valve, globe valve, or check valve, the main advantage of stainless steel three-way ball valve is their ability to achieve rapid fluid switching and mixing. Gate valves and globe valves are typically used for simple opening and closing operations, while check valves are used to prevent medium backflow. In contrast, three-way ball valves can provide more complex fluid control functions, which is particularly useful in systems that require multi-path control.
