Changan Kaicheng F70 electric plug is a preheating device used for diesel engines, also known as a preheating plug or electric plug. Its main function is to improve starting performance by providing thermal energy during severe cold periods or when diesel engines are cooling down. Electric plugs have the characteristics of rapid heating and long-lasting high temperature maintenance to ensure that the engine can start smoothly in low-temperature environments. ‌

Type and Characteristics: Changan Kaicheng F70 glow plug is a type of preheating plug for diesel engine start-up. Currently, the most widely used types include conventional type, temperature controlled type (including preheating plugs for conventional preheating devices and new super preheating devices), and low-voltage type for conventional super preheating devices. The glow plug is installed in the preheating chamber on the upper part of the engine cylinder, below the fuel injector. When diesel is sprayed in the form of atomization, the glow plug will quickly heat it up. ‌

Structure and Function: The housing of the glow plug has a preheating plug resistance coil installed in the tube. The current passes through the resistance coil to heat the tube, generating a larger surface area to produce more heat energy. The interior of the tube is filled with insulating material to prevent the resistance coil from coming into contact with the inner wall of the tube due to vibration. After the engine is started, the glow plug can maintain a certain temperature to reduce pollutant emissions. ‌

Temperature and time: Different types of glow plugs have different preheating and holding times. For example, the preheating time of a metal glow plug can reach 3 seconds, and the temperature can reach over 850 degrees Celsius. The post heating time (maintaining temperature after engine start) is 180 seconds; The preheating time of ceramic glow plugs can reach 2 seconds, and the temperature can reach over 1000 degrees Celsius, with a post heating time of 600 seconds. These characteristics enable glow plugs to effectively help diesel engines start smoothly and reduce pollutant emissions under extremely cold conditions
