Product details

Dark leafy or blocky crystals, dark red in direct light. It is very easy to absorb moisture in the air to become crystalline ferric chloride (FeCl3·6H2O). At high temperatures it breaks down into ferrous chloride and chlorine gas. Soluble in water, ethanol, ether and acetone, slightly soluble in carbon disulfide, almost insoluble in ethyl acetate. Relative density (d25)2.90. Melting point 282℃. The boiling point is about 316℃, which is corrosive to metals. Catalyst for organic synthesis. It is used as an indicator for the analysis of copper, selenium and arsenic, and the determination of phenol, cholesterol and choline.

Ferric chloride solution,

Used in sewage treatment, Water Treatment Chemicals, Oilfield Chemicals, circuit board etching, stainless steel corrosion and mordant, is a good substitute for solid ferric chloride, of which HPFCS high purity for the electronics industry demanding cleaning and etching.

Liquid ferric chloride is an efficient and cheap flocculant for the treatment of municipal sewage and industrial wastewater, which has significant effects of precipitation of heavy metals and sulfides, decolorization, deodorization, oil removal, sterilization, phosphorus removal, and reduction of effluent COD and BOD.
