Product details
A sewage pump is a type of pump that is connected to a motor and is a type of fire pump that operates underwater simultaneously. Compared with general horizontal or vertical sewage pumps, sewage pumps have a compact structure and a small footprint. Easy to install and maintain, large sewage pumps are usually equipped with automatic coupling devices for automatic installation, making installation and maintenance quite convenient. Long continuous operation time. Due to the coaxial nature of the pump and motor, the shaft of the sewage pump is short, and the weight of the rotating parts is light, the load (radial) borne by the bearings is relatively small, and the service life is much longer than that of a general pump. There are no issues such as cavitation damage or water injection. Especially the latter point has brought great convenience to the operators. Low vibration noise, low motor temperature rise, no pollution to the environment, widely used in fire protection system and sewage system.

Sewage pumps are usually used in conjunction with various valves to ensure the safe and effective operation of the system. The following are the types of valves commonly used in conjunction with sewage pumps and their applications:
1. Check valve: used to prevent sewage backflow and protect the pump from backflow impact. A check valve can be installed at the outlet of the sewage pump to prevent water from flowing back when the pump stops working. According to technical knowledge, check valves are usually installed at the outlet of the sewage pump and in front of the outlet control valve for easy maintenance of the check valve. The first outlet of a general sewage pump is a soft connection (shock absorber), followed by a check valve, and then a block valve (such as butterfly valve, gate valve, globe valve, etc.)
2. Gate valve: Used to control the outlet of the pump, it can close the water flow when needed for maintenance or overhaul. Control valves, check valves, flexible rubber pipe joints, and pressure gauges should be installed on the discharge pipeline of the sewage pump. According to the national building standard design atlas 01S305 "Selection and Installation of Small Submersible Sewage Pumps", gate valves are recommended as control valves
3. Butterfly valve: Due to its compact structure and easy operation, butterfly valves are also commonly used in sewage pump systems, especially in situations where frequent opening and closing are required.
4. Ball valve: It has good sealing performance and is suitable for situations where water flow needs to be quickly cut off or opened.
5. Discharge valve: specially designed for discharging sewage containing solid particles, usually with good wear resistance and anti clogging ability.
6. Automatic control valve: such as a liquid level control valve, it can automatically control the start and stop of the sewage pump according to the water level in the sewage tank.
