Dry spiral wing water meter, also known as spiral wing water meter, is an instrument used to measure water flow rate. It mainly consists of a casing, a flow meter (including a screw wing device), a counter, bearings, and other parts. The working principle of the spiral wing water meter is to use the kinetic energy of the water flow to drive the spiral wing to rotate, thereby measuring the flow rate of water. When water flows through the water meter, it will impact the spiral shaped impeller along the axis direction, causing it to rotate. The speed of the impeller is proportional to the water flow velocity. This rotation is transmitted through bearings to a counter, which records the number of revolutions or angles of the spiral wing and converts it into water flow rate, usually measured in cubic meters or gallons.
Dry spiral water meters can be connected to the following pipelines:
1. Metal pipes:Copper tube,Stainless steel pipe,Iron pipe (requiring anti-corrosion treatment)
2. Plastic pipes:PVC pipe,HDPE pipe,PPR pipe
These pipeline types are common water supply pipeline materials, and dry spiral water meters are connected to these pipelines through their specific interfaces (such as flanges, threads, etc.) to achieve accurate measurement and recording of water volume. Please note that when selecting connecting pipelines, factors such as water quality, pressure, temperature, as well as the corrosion resistance and durability of the pipelines need to be considered.
Which valves should be used in conjunction with
1. Ball valve: Ball valves are often used as matching valves for water meters due to their simple structure, easy operation, and low fluid resistance, making it convenient to control the opening and closing of water flow.
2. Gate valve: Gate valves are suitable for situations where water flow needs to be cut off during the installation and maintenance of water meters, in order to facilitate the replacement or repair of water meters.
3. Check valve: Installing a check valve downstream of the water meter can prevent water backflow and protect the normal operation of the water meter, especially in situations where backflow prevention is necessary.
4. Filter: Installing a filter in front of the water meter can protect it from impurities in the water and extend its service life.
