Laryngeal mask airway (PVC)

A laryngeal mask airway, also named as laryngeal mask, is an anesthesia product that keeps a patient's airway open during anesthesia process or while patients are unconscious who can not breath on his/her own. It is a type of supraglottic anesthetic device. Laryngeal mask airway normally consists of an airway tube that connects to an elliptical mask with a cuff which is inserted through the patient's mouth, down into the tracheal. The most used LMA is made of PVC, due to its cheaper price and acceptable quality. Standardly, it is sterile before the shipment to the clients and for single usage.
