Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) is a white crystalline powder that is commonly used in a variety of industrial and household applications. It is a sodium salt of triphosphoric acid, with the chemical formula Na5P3O10.

Properties: White microdot powder with luster, melting point at 622℃, easily soluble in water, with remarkable chelating ability to some metal ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+, can soften hard water, change suspensioninto solution, alkalescent, without causticity.

Application: lt has good complexing and dispersing properties, andis used in industry as synthetic detergent, dispergator in ceramic production, and synergist of soap. lt has strong emulsifying effect on lubricating oil and fat, can be usedto adjust the PH value of buffer soap solution, and can be used as dispersant in water softener, tanning agent, dyeing assistant, paint, kaolin, magnesium oxide and calcium phosphate. ln food industry it can be used as water retention agent, quality improver, thickening agent. lt is commonly used in canned food, frozen seafood, fruitdrinks and dairy products.

Packing and storage: plastic-woven sack with polythene inner bag, net weight 25Kg, 50Kg or 1000Kg; keep away from water or moisture, do not pile up the open air.
