Ultra high frequency quenching machine is a device that uses the principle of high-frequency electromagnetic field to rapidly heat workpieces and then perform quenching treatment. Its working principle mainly includes the following key steps:
1. High frequency power supply: Using a high-frequency power supply, an inverter is usually used to convert industrial frequency (such as 50Hz or 60Hz) AC power into high-frequency (usually tens of kilohertz to hundreds of kilohertz) AC power.
2. Induction coil design: Inside the machine tool, there are one or more induction coils with wires wound around them, which are designed to form a good coupling relationship with the workpiece to be processed. When high-frequency current passes through an induction coil, a high-frequency alternating magnetic field is generated around the coil.
3. Workpiece Heating : Place the workpiece to be quenched in an induction coil. Due to the certain coupling between the workpiece and the induction coil, a high-frequency alternating magnetic field will induce eddy currents (i.e., currents generated by electromagnetic induction) in the workpiece. These vortices generate a large amount of heat inside the workpiece, causing the surface of the workpiece to quickly reach the temperature required for quenching.
4. Quenching treatment : Once the surface temperature of the workpiece reaches the predetermined quenching temperature, immediately stop heating and quickly immerse it in a cooling medium (such as oil, water, or other quenching fluids). This rapid cooling process results in the formation of a hard and brittle martensitic structure on the surface of the workpiece, while the core maintains high plasticity and toughness.
5. Automated Control : In order to improve efficiency and quality, modern ultra-high frequency quenching machines are usually equipped with advanced control systems that can accurately control heating time and cooling speed, as well as monitor temperature changes of workpieces, ensuring consistency and controllability of the quenching process.
