Brass pressure reducing valve is a type of pressure reducing valve that uses the opening of the opening and closing components inside the valve body to regulate the flow rate of the medium, reduce the pressure of the medium, and adjust the opening of the opening and closing components with the help of the pressure behind the valve, so as to maintain the pressure behind the valve within a certain range. The valve body is usually made of brass, the valve core is made of stainless steel structure, the spring material is carbon steel, and the sealing material is NBR rubber or fiber filled nitrile rubber

Installation and maintenance

Installation position: Generally installed upright on a horizontal pipeline, and must strictly follow the direction of the arrow on the valve body to maintain consistency with the fluid flow direction.

Filter installation: If the water quality is not clean and contains some impurities, a filter must be installed at the upstream inlet of the brass pressure reducing valves (recommended filtration accuracy not less than 0.5mm).

To prevent overpressure after the valve: A brass reducing pressure valve should be installed at a distance of not less than 4M from the valve outlet.

Installation of hot water system: If a brass pressure reducing valve needs to be installed in the hot water system, an inlet check valve must be installed between the brass pressure reducing valve and the expansion tank.

Maintenance: Regularly check the sealing performance and pressure setting of the valve to ensure they meet the requirements. Regularly clean the filter to prevent blockages from affecting valve performance. If any leakage or damage is found in the valve, it should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner
