5 month agoBenzyltriphenylphosphine chloride Cas: 1100-88-5, also known as: BTPPC; BPP; BTPPCl; NSC 116712; AURORA KA-1173; Benzyltriphenylphosp; Benzyltriphenylchlorophosphine; Triphenylbenzylidenephosphorane; BENZYLIDENE(TRIPHENYL)PHOSPHORANE; Benzyltriphenylphosphine chloride (Ph₃PCC₆H₅) is an organic phosphorus compound with the following properties: colorless crystalline solid, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene, and ether, stable at room temperature, but sensitive to air and water, and should be kept dry and sealed for storage. The molecular formula of benzyl triphenylphosphine chloride is C25H22ClP, with a molecular weight of 388.87 and a content of 99%. It is a nearly white solid. Dissolved in alcohol and chloroform, slightly soluble in water.Benzyltriphenylphosphine chloride is mainly used in phosphorization reactions in organic synthesis, including: as a nucleophilic reagent or dehydrating agent, it is added to carbonyl compounds in the reaction to form phosphophilic compounds. Used as a catalyst to promote the progress of phosphating reaction.
