Product raw materials
- Aramid 1313 fiber is a flame-retardant fiber, so it will not burn in the air, nor will it promote combustion, and it has self-extinguishing properties. This inherent characteristic, derived from its molecular structure, makes Aramid 1313 permanently flame retardant, hence it is known as "fireproof fiber".
Product performance
- Fire Retardant: Normally, the oxygen content in the air is 21%, while the oxygen index of Aramid 1313 is greater than 28%, which is a flame-retardant fiber, so it will not burn in the air, nor will it promote combustion, and it has self-extinguishing properties.
- Electrical Insulation: It has a low dielectric constant and inherent dielectric strength, allowing it to maintain excellent electrical insulation under high, low, and humid conditions. The insulation paper made from it can withstand a breakdown voltage of up to 100,000 volts/mm², making it an excellent insulating material.
- Chemical Resistance: Resistant to corrosion from most inorganic acids and other chemicals, and resistant to hydrolysis and steam corrosion.
- Radiation Resistance: Aramid 13 has excellent resistance to α, β, X-rays, and ultraviolet radiation. After being exposed to 50Kv X-rays for 100 hours, its fiber strength remains at 73% of the original, while polyester or nylon would have turned into powder by then.
- Mechanical Properties: The low stiffness and high elongation characteristics give it the same spinnability as ordinary fibers, allowing it to be processed into various fabrics or non-woven fabrics on conventional spinning machines. It is also wear-resistant and tear-resistant, with a wide range of applications.
- Thermal Stability: It can be used for a long time at high temperatures up to 220℃ without aging. Short-term exposure to 300℃ does not cause it to shrink, become brittle, soften, or melt. It only starts to decompose at temperatures above 370℃ and begins to carbonize at around 400℃.
