Phytosterols are widely found in the roots, stems, leaves, fruits and seeds of plants, among which oil-containing plants are the main natural sources of phytosterols. Phytosterols mainly consists of β- sitosterol, stigmasterol and campesterol
Plant sterols are originally non saponified substances of plant-based oils and fats. In industry, they are extracted from the residue of soybean and rapeseed seeds as raw materials to produce by-products of vitamin E, or non saponified substances from the production of rice bran oil. After extraction and refinement, they are obtained as plant extract products
