It is used in conjunction with embossing rollers to help better shaping of non-woven fabrics. It is also one of the main types of rollers on hot rolling machine

The Pressure influence of hot calender roller on the strength of nonwoven fabrics:

Hot Calender roller pressure is one of the important factors affecting the strength of nonwoven fabrics. For different fiber types and processing methods, different roller pressures are required to obtain the best results. Generally speaking, the pressure of the hot rolling roller is between 20-40 tons, which can achieve better results.

If the hot calender roller pressure is too small, the fibers will not be tightly bonded and the cloth surface will be loose, which will affect the strength and stability of the nonwoven fabric and fail to meet the product requirements. If the roller pressure is too high, the fibers will be loose. If it is lowered, it is easy to cause wire breakage and chip breakage, which will lead to defects on the cloth surface and affect the quality of the product.

made of high-quality alloy steel (38CrMOa i, 42CrMo, 60CrMo, 9Cr2Mo) as the base material, and are formed by mechanical processing and heat treatment. Surface hardness HRC58~62

Heating method of Hot Calender Roller:

Hollow inner tank spiral heating:

A deep hole is drilled into the forging, and a spiral liner or a spray-type liner is installed in the middle space to allow the heat transfer oil to flow (or spray) in a directional manner in the spiral liner to achieve heating purposes. Temperature difference ≤1.5°C.

Perimeter drilled heating:

Deep holes are evenly drilled around the roller body so that the thermal oil can circulate and heat in the peripheral holes, resulting in smaller temperature differences (<1°C) and higher thermal efficiency.

Maximum temperature of roller surface: 250 degrees Celsius

Usage: Hot rolling of melt-blown and spunbond non-woven fabrics into patterns
