LW-31A Alkaline Degreasing Additive For Oxidation, also recognized as Alkaline Cleannig Degreaser and Oxidation Degreaser Alkaline, serves as an excellent aluminum cleaner in the field of aluminum and its alloy surface treatment. It plays a crucial role in the pretreatment stage for the Aluminium Anodizing Process of aluminum and its alloys.

This additive is highly effective in removing the natural oxide film, oil stain, burr, and floating sands from the surface of sand-blasted aluminum profiles. By doing so, it simplifies the production processing steps and helps to achieve a clean, uniform, delicate, and soft metal surface, which is essential for subsequent anodizing operations.

In the Aluminium Anodizing Process, the use of LW-31A streamlines the workflow. The process only requires a simple sequence of 6 baths before anodization: weak acid rinsing → rinsing → alkaline degreasing with LW-31A (an Alkaline Cleannig Degreaser and Oxidation Degreaser Alkaline)→ rinsing - sulphuric acid neutralization → oxidation. This straightforward process eliminates the need for a special acid degreasing bath or additional acid degreasing additives before the LW-31A bath.

When it comes to Cleaning Anodized Aluminum, the properties of LW-31A contribute significantly. After the LW-31A degreasing process, there is either no ash or only a minimal amount of ash on the profiles' surface. This can be easily neutralized by ordinary sulphuric acid, resulting in a very low neutralization cost.

Although LW-31A is primarily a degreasing additive, its performance also relates to the role of an Anodizing Agent. In comparison to the traditional alkaline etching process, it offers advantages such as lower aluminum loss (with an average aluminum loss of about 1-5kg / T, leading to considerable annual savings in raw material costs), no waste residue production when the process requirements are strictly adhered to, and a friendly workshop environment as it produces no alkali fog or alkali odor. Additionally, its formula is environmentally friendly as it is F- free, and the comprehensive production cost is low with an average consumption of sodium hydroxide at 5-10 kg per ton of aluminum and LW-31A at 1-2 kg per ton. While it is not a Grease Remover Spray, its degreasing effect in the oxidation process of aluminum and its alloys is truly remarkable, making it an ideal option for applications related to the Aluminium Anodizing Process and Cleaning Anodized Aluminum.
