Tetramethyl ammonium chloride (TMAC) Cas: 75-57-0 is White to almost white crystalline powder, Tetramethylammonium chloridemainly used as phase transfer catalyst . Tetra methyl ammonium chlorideCan be used as polarographic analytical reagent. Cas: 75-57-0 is a corrosion inhibitor for battery anodes, e.g., metals such as zinc, lead, and the like, in primary battery cells, comprises a quaternary ammonium salt, particularly, tetraalkyl ammonium chloride.More preferably Tetraheptyl ammonium chloride. TMAC 79-57-0 is used in hybridization solutions of mixed oligonucleotides. In solutions with TMAC, the Tm(melting temperature) of a hybrid is dependent on its length, not its base composition.
