Composite exhaust valve is an automatic exhaust valve used at the highest point or in areas with closed air on pipelines, to clear the pipeline and achieve normal operation by eliminating the gas inside the pipeline. If an exhaust valve is not installed, the pipeline may become obstructed at any time, causing the water discharge capacity of the pipeline to not meet the design requirements. Secondly, if there is a power outage or pump stop during operation, the pipeline may experience negative pressure in a timely manner, which can cause pipeline vibration or rupture. The exhaust (suction) valve will quickly suck air into the pipeline to prevent pipeline vibration or rupture.
Working principle
When water enters the pipe, the floating ball stops at the bottom of the ball bucket for a large amount of exhaust. When the exhaust is complete, the water enters the composite exhaust valve and floats the ball through the ball bucket until it closes, stopping the exhaust. During normal operation of the pipeline, a small amount of gas will naturally be generated, and the gas will concentrate at the upper part of the pipe to a considerable extent. The water in composite exhaust valves will descend, and the floating ball will descend along with the water, and the gas will be discharged from the small hole. If there is a power outage or pump shutdown, and the water flow in the pipeline is empty, negative pressure may occur at any time. The floating ball will descend along the water and open the small hole to drive the large hole for a large amount of air supply to ensure the safety of the pipeline.
When installing a composite exhaust valve, it is usually recommended to install a gate valve in front of the valve to facilitate maintenance and inspection of the exhaust valve. In addition, if the exhaust valve is installed outdoors or in a place where it may freeze, appropriate insulation measures need to be taken. The exhaust valve should be installed vertically and installed together with the globe valve to ensure the airtightness and safety of the system. During system operation, it is necessary to regularly inspect bolt fasteners and perform maintenance and component replacement as necessary. In some cases, it may be necessary to install a check valve after the composite exhaust valve to prevent medium backflow and ensure system safety.
