Product Application:

The Ground fault circuit interrupter normally is installed in any potentially wet or damp places such as kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, outdoors, basements, garages and workshops. Wet places can make the possibility to dangerous electric shock higher but applying a GFCI receptacle outlet can greatly reduce your risk of injury.

FAQ:

Question: Why perform the Self-test?

Answer: Dear Customer, If you mis-wire a GFCI outlet, it can not be reset, the green indicator LED will be on, by which it may prevent personal injury or death due to a ground fault (electrical shock). If you mistakenly connect the LINE wire to the LOAD terminals, it will not provide power to either the GFCI outlet its self or the load terminal fed through the GFCI.

Question: If i am not sure about the amps of my circuit (15a vs 20a), is it safer to just use with the 15Amp outlet?

Answer: it does not matter, it's ALWAYS OK to put a 15A outlet on a 20A circuit.

Question: If the upstream gfci is 15Amp, would the downstream gfci have to be in 15Amp?

Answer: If you already have an upstream GFCI and it is wired in a correct way, no need a downstream GFCI any more, as a well-wired GFCI protects all downstream circuits.
