Naphazoline, also known as napazoline and Naiyanjing, is a vasoactive drug that acts on the circulatory system. It belongs to the class of adrenomimetic drugs and has the pharmacological activity of constricting blood vessels. Local application can relieve swelling and congestion of nasal mucosa. It is a direct-acting alpha-adrenergic agonist that constricts intranasal dilated arterioles, but has no effect on beta-renal adrenergic receptors. After topical application, action occurs within 10 minutes and lasts 2 to 6 hours. It is clinically used to treat acute and chronic nasal, eye, and pharyngeal mucosal congestion caused by various reasons, such as allergy, inflammation, pathogenic microorganism infection, etc. People who are allergic to ephedrine can use this product.
