ultrasonic level transmitter is an intelligent instrument that uses ultrasonic technology for level measurement. 1. Working principle
The probe (transducer) of the
ultrasonic level transmitter emits high-frequency pulse sound waves, which propagate in the air and are reflected back upon encountering the surface of the measured liquid. The reflected waves are received by the same probe and converted into electrical signals. By measuring the time difference between the emission and reception of ultrasonic waves, and combining it with the propagation speed of sound waves at the current ambient temperature, the distance from the sensor to the surface of the measured liquid can be calculated, thereby obtaining the liquid level height.
2. Characteristics
① Non contact measurement: it does not directly contact with the liquid to be measured, which avoids the pollution and damage to the liquid, and also reduces the impact of the liquid on the instrument such as erosion and blockage. It is suitable for the measurement of various corrosive, viscous, easy to crystallize, liquid containing impurities or foam.
② High measurement accuracy: capable of achieving millimeter level liquid level measurement accuracy, meeting the requirements of most industrial occasions and applications for liquid level measurement accuracy.
③ Easy and flexible installation: It can usually be installed in various ways such as top installation, side installation, etc., on the outside of the container or tank body, without the need for container modification or drilling. The installation process is simple and fast, and does not affect the production process.
