The injection moulding process of PP (polypropylene) cosmetic bottle mainly includes the following steps:
 
1. Preparation of raw materials: Firstly, PP materials that meet the requirements need to be prepared. According to the needs of the product, you may also need to add some additives to improve the material properties, such as colouring agents, antioxidants, etc..
 
2. Drying treatment: Although the PP material itself is not highly absorbent, but before processing still need to dry the raw material through the dryer for appropriate drying treatment to remove trace moisture in the material to avoid bubbles and other problems in the injection moulding process.
 
3. Pre-heating the barrel: The dried PP granules are fed into the hopper of the injection moulding machine and the heating system is switched on to bring the barrel to the set temperature. This process is to make the plastic granules fully melted to become flow state.
 
4. Injection moulding: Once the PP in the barrel is fully melted, it is rapidly pushed into the mould cavity by the force of the screw or plunger. The mould usually consists of two parts which are closed before the molten plastic is injected. Once the plastic enters the mould cavity, it fills the entire space under pressure and is cooled and solidified into shape.
 
5. Cooling: After the bottle is initially formed, it needs to be cooled for a certain period of time to ensure that it is structurally stable and not deformed. Cooling can be achieved by natural air cooling or using cold water circulation.
 
6. Open the mould to take out the parts: after the bottle is completely cooled and shaped, open the mould to take out the finished products. At this time, there may be some flying edges or excess materials need to be trimmed off.
 
7. Post-processing: For some products with special needs, it may also involve subsequent processing such as printing patterns, labelling and other processes.
 
8. Quality Inspection: The last step is to carry out a comprehensive quality inspection of the bottles produced to ensure that there are no defects and meet the standard requirements.
