PPSU is an amorphous thermoplastic that is highly transparent and hydrolytically stable and can withstand repeated steam sterilization. This material is mainly used in electrical, food utensils, dairy processing equipment, some daily necessities, and automobiles.

Advantages of PPSU include high strength, high stiffness, very high toughness (also suitable for low temperature conditions), high heat resistance without deformation ability, very high chemical stability and good sterilizability. It can also be used to make electrical and electronic, food utensils, dairy processing equipment and some daily necessities, automotive, aerospace, medical and general industrial sectors of the various parts.

The injection molding process for PPSU includes drying (90°C-110°C/3-4Hr), injection temperature (260-280°C) and mold temperature (80-100°C). This material can also be used to make a variety of contactors, connectors, transformer insulating parts, SCR caps, insulating bushings, coil bobbins, terminal blocks, printed circuit boards, bushings, covers, TV system parts, capacitor films, brush holders, alkaline battery cases, wire and cable wraps, etc.

PPSU is prepared by polycondensation reaction with bisphenol A and 4,4,-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone as raw materials. It has a wide range of applications, including electrical appliances, electronics, instrumentation, instrumentation and aerospace departments for heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, high-strength parts and insulating components, industrial films.
