Butanox M-50 VR is a general purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP), which has moderate reactivity and low water content, and can be used for curing unsaturated polyester resin together with cobalt accelerator at room temperature and temperature rise. Especially suitable for gelcoat resin, laminate resin, varnish and casting resin curing, as opposed to benzoyl peroxide/amine accelerator curing system, can be used for the production of light resistant products.

Butanox M-50 VR hardener contains a small red indicator that can be used to see how evenly the hardener is mixed with the resin. The color will gradually disappear as the resin solidifies, leaving the final product showing only the primary color.

Combined with many years of application experience, Butanox M-50 VR curing agent has a low water content and does not contain polar compounds, so it is particularly suitable for GRP products, such as shipbuilding.
