FRP vinyl ester gelcoat resin for mould
MAXGUARD GT 7068 is a commonly used fiberglass vinyl ester gelcoat resin for moulds. The GT 7068 S/H is an orange-red color with an H type for hand brushing and an S type for spraying. The base resin of GT mold gelcoat is epoxy modified vinyl ester resin. Special matrix resin and unique formula design make the final mold surface high brightness, chemical resistance and flexibility. The MAXGUARD GT resin includes a unique vinyl technology that allows the vinyl mold gelcoat to use standard methyl ethyl ketone peroxide without bubbling, greatly reducing the risk of pinholes in the mold gelcoat. The thermal deformation temperature of up to 110°C can withstand high product heat release without damage.

The MAXGUARD GT 7068 Gelcoat resin is suitable for high quality FRP moulds. Combined with Ashland's special mold resin Arotool 2001, we can produce high temperature and high strength molds.
MAXGUARD GT 7068 vinyl ester gelcoat resin application method
The MAXGUARD GT 7068 gelcoat should be stored away from light for a maximum of 3 months at temperatures below 25 ° C. Please stir the gelcoat resin thoroughly before use to avoid bubbles. The workshop, materials and moulds shall be kept at a temperature of 18-25℃ and relative humidity below 70%.
The dosage of MEKP(methyl ethyl ketone peroxide) catalyst is 1.5-2.5%, and the application thickness of gelcoat resin is controlled to 800-1000um according to the final use. See "Precautions for Using Vinyl Mold Gelcoat".
