Alumina Ceramic:
The γ-type alumina is obtained by dehydrating aluminum hydroxide at a low temperature of 140-150 ° C, and is also called activated alumina or aluminum rubber in the industry. In the structure, oxygen ions are closely packed in the vertical direction, and Al3+ is irregularly distributed in the octahedral and tetrahedral voids surrounded by oxygen ions. Γ-type alumina is insoluble in water, soluble in strong acid or strong alkali solution, and it is converted to α-alumina by heating it to 1200 °C. Γ-type alumina is a porous material with an internal surface area of several hundred square meters per gram and high activity and high adsorption capacity.
