The TS-400 welding drum packing machine is mainly used for drum loading and winding of CO2 gas shielded welding wires. The drum packing machine adopts Siemens S7-200 PLC full digital control, human-machine interface interactive information, and has the functions of operation and maintenance assistance, weight, disordered wire, broken wire, pay off completion alarm, automatic shutdown, fault online detection, etc. It can realize full automatic operation in addition to threading, straightening, taking and placing barrels. Accurate petal control and pre twisting treatment ensure smooth wire feeding during the welding process. Customizable welding wire barrels with various specifications can be customized, and the overall performance reaches the international advanced level.

The pay-off machine adopts variable frequency speed control for active pay-off, the drum motor adopts variable frequency drive, and the flywheel adopts high-power variable frequency to follow the drum operation, effectively ensuring the constant tension and stable operation during the welding wire winding process.

Adopting Siemens PLC control and touch screen display, the take-up speed is stable.

The touch screen displays running speed and information such as received weight and unreceived weight, and has functions such as automatic shutdown to reduce operator labor intensity.

One button operation: From automatic acceleration after startup to automatic deceleration and shutdown after weight, it can be completed with just one press of the start button.

The operation and use assistance, fault display, and troubleshooting functions on the touch screen make equipment operation and maintenance easier.

Straightener - used to straighten welding wires to meet the linear requirements for wire usage.

Tensioning machine - Through the up and down movement of the lower movable tension wheel group, it automatically controls and adjusts the speed matching between the host and the pay-off machine to ensure constant tension.

Payoff machine - driven by a variable frequency motor, used to actively release the welding wire from the I-shaped wheel, maintain a constant wire tension, reduce acceleration and deceleration time, and improve work efficiency. It is also equipped with a release brake system, etc.

Electric control cabinet - The control and execution part of the unit control system. Installed with PLC, touch screen, frequency converter, stepper motor driver, and other executing components

Due to the fact that the stability of the system largely depends on the role of PID, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the setting of its parameters, including low speed, high speed, rising speed, and falling speed. In addition, differential restriction needs to be involved in this system. After optimizing the parameter values of this system, the speed of 600 m/min during equipment debugging was very stable, completely solving the problem of instability of the original synchronous board at high speeds (only able to drive up to 300 m/min). The wire drawing machine equipment has been tested under various working conditions, and its performance is the same as that of imported DC drives. The equipment efficiency is 90-95%, and the power saving rate is about 40%. Moreover, the electrical equipment configuration in this system is simple, with clear logic, and significantly reduced costs compared to the original. It is indeed a very excellent cost-effectiveness.
