Silicon dioxide (SiO2) plays an important role in the chemical raw materials of medical membrane coatings. It is a common

In medical membrane coatings, silicon dioxide can provide the following functions:

2. Improve surface properties: Silicon dioxide can increase the smoothness of the membrane, reduce friction, and help prevent 

bacterial attachment.

3. Protective effect: In some cases, silicon dioxide coating can act as a protective layer to prevent drugs or cells from direct 

contact with the substrate material, thereby protecting them from damage.

4. Physical properties: such as transparency, thermal insulation, etc., the content and morphology of silicon dioxide can be 

adjusted as needed to change the physical properties of the membrane.

However, when using silicon dioxide, it is necessary to ensure that its purity and particle size meet the requirements of medical 

grade to ensure safety and effectiveness. In addition, attention must be paid to compatibility with other ingredients to ensure the 

stability of the entire coating system.
