To enhance cementing operations in high deviated and horizontal wells, spiral vane steel solid rigid centralizers have been developed. These centralizers are specifically designed to offer an optimal flow area. The solid vanes, which overlap 360 degrees, ensure maximum contact with the wellbore walls and create a swirling effect in the fluid.
By reducing the flow area between the spiral blades, a vortex motion is generated within the fluids. This increases fluid velocity and improves fluid direction. Additionally, the vane end is sloped at a 30-degree angle, reducing drag and assisting the casing in reaching its target depth (TD). These features collectively contribute to improved cementing performance in challenging wellbore conditions.
Characteristic:
1. The gradual transition of flow from the body to the vane height in spiral vane steel solid centralizers ensures that there is no scraping, gouging, or digging into the formation. This design feature effectively reduces the occurrence of balling between the vanes.
2. Spiral vane steel solid centralizers exhibit exceptional impact and shock resistance, along with impressive tensile and yield strength. Additionally, they are resistant to corrosion, ensuring their durability in various well conditions.
3. These centralizers can be obtained with or without set screws, providing the option to eliminate the use of stop collars.
4. While the standard length of the spiral vane solid rigid centralizer is 8", it can be customized to any length as per the customer's requirements.
5. Spiral vane solid rigid centralizers are available for casing sizes ranging from 4 ½" to 20". For any special sizes, customers can request customization to meet their specific needs.
