PPGI/PPGL(prepainted galvanized steel/prepainted galvalume steel ) is also known as pre-coated steel,color coated steel, coil coated steel, color coated steel, prepainted steel sheet. The PPGI steel coil/sheet made of cold-rolled steel sheet and galvanized steel sheet, subjected to surface pretreatment (degreasing, cleaning, chemical conversion treatment), coated in a continuous manner, and baked and cooled to form a product. Coated steel has light weight, beautiful appearance and good anti-corrosion performance, and can be directly processed.
Color coated steel coil is mainly divided into three parts: construction, household appliances and transportation. Building is generally used to build the roof, wall and door of industrial and commercial buildings such as steel structure workshop, airport,warehouse and freezer. Household appliances are used in the production of refrigerators and large air conditioning systems, freezers, toasters, furniture, etc. Transportation industry is mainly used for oil pan, automobile interior parts, etc.
PPGI is a product made of cold-rolled steel coil and (aluminum) galvanized steel coil after surface chemical treatment, coating (roll coating) or composite organic film (PVC film, etc.), and then baking and curing. This product is produced by the manufacturer in coils on the continuous production line, so it is also called prepainted steel coil. It not only has the properties of high mechanical strength and easy forming of steel materials, but also has good decoration and corrosion resistance of coating materials.
Zinc coated steel substrate for PPGI is typically produced on a continuous galvanizing line (CGL). The CGL may include a painting section after the hot dip galvanising section, or more commonly the metallic coated substrate in coil form is processed on a separate continuous paint line (CPL). Metallic coated steel is cleaned, pre-treated, applied with various layers of organic coatings which can be paints, vinyl dispersions, or laminates. The continuous process used to apply these coatings is often referred to as Coil Coating.The coil coating process may be used for other substrates such as aluminium, stainless steel or alloy coated steel other than "pure" zinc coated steel. However, only "pure" zinc coated steel is typically referred to as PPGI. For example, PPGL may be used for pre-painted 55%Al/Zn alloy-coated steel (pre-painted GALVALUME(r) Galvalume Steel Coil).

Substrate Type
1.Hot-dip galvanized color coated steel sheet(prepainted galvanized steel sheet)
The product obtained by coating an organic coating on a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet is a hot-dip galvanized color-coated plate. In addition to the protective effect of zinc, the hot-dip galvanized color-coated sheet also protects against rust and has a longer service life than hot-dip galvanized sheet;
2.Hot-dip aluminum-zinc color coated sheet(prepainted galvalume steel sheet)
Hot-dip aluminum-zinc steel sheets can also be used as color-coated substrates (55% AI-Zn and 5% AI-Zn);
3.Electroplated zinc color coated sheet
The electro-galvanized sheet is used as the substrate, and the product obtained by baking with the organic coating is an electrogalvanized color-coated plate. It has a beautiful appearance and excellent processing properties, and therefore can be mainly used for home appliances, audio, steel furniture, interior decoration, and the like.

Coating Type
Polyester (PE): Good adhesion, rich colors, wide range in formability and outdoor durability, medium chemical resistance, and low cost.
Silicon modified polyester(SMP): Good abrasion resistance and heat resistance, as well as good external durability and chalking resistance, gloss retention, general flexibility, and medium cost.
High Durability Polyester(HDP): Excellent color retention and anti-ultraviolet performance, excellent outdoor durability and anti-pulverization, good paint film adhesion, rich color, excellent cost performance.
Polyvinylidene Fluoride(PVDF): Excellent color retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and chalking resistance, excellent solvent resistance, good moldability, stain resistance, limited color, and high cost.
