Silicone coated fiberglass cloth

Silicone fiberglass cloth is made from fiberglass material and then coated or impregnated with silicone rubber. This Fireproof Cloth is water-resistant, chemical-resistant, oil- and UV-resistant, low-smoke, has good flame retardancy and is flexible even at low temperatures. It also has better puncture and tear resistance, long service life, and excellent insulation against heat and electricity. The material is commonly available in gray or red and contains 17 ounces per square yard.

Our silicone coated fiberglass cloth can withstand temperatures up to 550°C, repeated exposure to aluminum water and glass. It's resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricants and fuels, prevents energy loss in pipes and hoses, and protects workers from burns and shields induction cooker cables to prevent molten metal splashing. These fabrics are made of non-combustible E-type woven fiberglass yarn and covered with a thick layer of silicone rubber to provide a high level of thermal insulation and fire resistance. When exposed to flames, silicone rubber turns into a hard skin, forming a protective SiO2 fire-resistant layer, effectively preventing burns from hot hoses and flexible steam lines while reducing heat energy loss.
