CRGO Grain Oriented Electrical Steel are specialized steels plates made from cold-rolled silicon steel. These coils are primarily used in the construction of transformer cores due to their superior magnetic properties and low core losses.
CRGO steel coils are produced through a series of manufacturing processes. The first step involves the production of hot-rolled steels coils. These coils are then annealed to induce grain growth and improve their magnetic properties. After annealing, the coils undergo a cold-rolling process to reduce their thickness and enhance surface finish. The cold-rolling process also aligns the crystallographic orientation of the steel, resulting in a preferred grain orientation.
