Introduction to Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy

TZM (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy) is a high-temperature alloy, a solid solution hardened and particle strengthened molybdenum based alloy. Therefore TZM (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy) provides better weldability.

TZM (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy) is an alloy of 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium, and 0.02% molybdenum with the remaining 0.02% carbon.

TZM (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy) has a higher recrystallization temperature, higher strength, and hardness than non-alloyed molybdenum at room temperature and high temperature and good ductility. In addition, TZM (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy) has good thermal conductivity, low vapor pressure, good corrosion resistance, and is therefore machinable.
