ABS Marine Steel Plate

ABS marine steel plate is the American ship plate standard.

Marine steel plate refers to the hot-rolled steel sheets used to manufacture the hull structure produced in accordance with the requirements of the classification society’s construction rules.
Structural shipbuilding steel plates are divided into strength grades according to their minimum yield points: general strength structural steel plates and high strength structural alloy steel plates. Structural naval steel plates are divided into two types: general strength ship plate and high strength ship plate. General strength steel is divided into four grades of A, B, D and E according to quality; high strength steel is divided into two strength grades and three quality grades; AH32 , DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36, EH36.
The general-strength structural steels in China Classification Society standards are divided into four quality grades: A, B, C, and D (i.e. CCSA, CCSB, CCSC, CCSD); the high-strength structural steels in China Classification Society standards are three Intensity levels, four quality levels.
