During welding the wear plate, there have high temperature difference, and produce thermal expansion coefficient, so the thermal stress is formed inside, Therefore, a transverse crack with different sizes will be formed during the welding cooling process, which is the result of stress release. Cracks only exist in the surfacing layer. There is no crack at the base plate and the fusion line.
