Product details
A single-stage fire pump is a pump specifically designed for fire protection system, which can provide sufficient pressure and flow to meet the water transportation needs of the fire water system. This type of pump usually has high efficiency, stable operating performance, and good anti cavitation ability. Single stage fire pumps can be of horizontal or vertical structure, and the appropriate installation form can be selected according to different application scenarios and space limitations.

Application areas: Single stage fire pumps are mainly used for pressurized water supply in fire protection system pipelines, suitable for various industrial and urban water supply and drainage, high-rise building pressurized water supply, long-distance water supply, heating, bathroom, boiler cold and warm water circulation, pressurized air conditioning refrigeration system water supply, and equipment matching. It is also applicable to mining water supply and drainage systems.

Working principle: The single-stage fire pump is mainly a centrifugal pump. After the motor is started, the impeller rotates at high speed under the drive of the motor. The medium in the impeller rotates together with the impeller under the drive of the blades and is thrown out of the impeller outlet at high speed under the action of centrifugal force, entering the pump body pressure chamber. At the same time, the medium at the impeller inlet flows towards the blades and reduces the pressure of the medium at the impeller inlet.

Single stage fire pumps play a crucial role in fire protection systems, often used in conjunction with multiple valves to ensure the safe and effective operation of the system. The following are the types of valves commonly used in conjunction with single-stage fire pumps and their applications:
1. Check valve: used to prevent water backflow and protect the pump and system from backflow impact. A check valve can be installed at the outlet of a fire pump to prevent water from flowing back when the pump stops working. There are two types of check valves: lift type and swing type, among which swing type check valves can be used on horizontal or vertical pipelines.
2. Gate valve: used to control the opening and closing of water flow. The gate valve is installed on the outlet and suction pipe of the fire pump for easy maintenance and system control of the pump.
3. Butterfly valve: Due to its compact structure and small size, butterfly valves are commonly used in fire pump systems that require frequent operation. However, it should be noted that butterfly valves without reliable locking devices should not be used to prevent valve disc displacement due to vibration or other reasons during use.
4. Multi functional water pump control valve: This valve combines the functions of a water hammer eliminator, gate valve, and check valve, which is beneficial for the automatic start of the fire pump and the safety of the water supply system.
