 Main Function
The function of the rotary valve type reversing valve in the hydraulic system is to change the relative position with the valve body by rotating the cylindrical valve core, and to connect or close the oil circuit to realize the reversal of the hydraulic actuator. Since the valve core needs to be rotated when operating the valve, this valve is generally controlled by manual or motor operation. Similar to the slide valve type reversing valve. The rotary valve type reversing valve also has two-position valves (two-way, four-way, five-way), three-position valves (four-way, five-way) and other common types.

 

 Working Principle
Take the three-position four-way rotary valve shown in Figure 4-61 as an example to explain the working principle of the rotary valve type reversing valve. The three-position four-way rotary valve consists of the main components such as the valve body 1, the valve core 2 and the operating handle (not shown in the figure). There are four CP, A, B, T) ports on the valve body 1, and grooves and channels are opened on the valve core 2. When the valve core is in the U position, the four oil ports P, A, B, and T are all closed and do not communicate with each other; when the valve core rotates clockwise to the 1 position, the oil ports P-B communicate, and the oil ports A-T communicate; when the valve core rotates counterclockwise to the 2 position, the oil ports P-A communicate, and the oil ports B--.T communicate. If a mechanical device such as a stopper is used for control, it is a three-position four-way motor valve. As can be seen from the graphic symbols, the number of working positions and the number of passages of the rotary valve and the method of determining the working position are basically the same as those of the slide valve type reversing valve.
