Application of common mode inductors in switching power supply

Common mode inductors are sometimes called common mode chokes, because its role is to inhibit, and it is used in switching power supply circuits to form a variety of filters for EMI filtering and to inhibit the electromagnetic waves generated by various high-speed signals.

There is a set of parallel lines in the circuit, the normal signal is basically unaffected when it passes through, but when there is a common mode current flowing through, due to the homotropy of the common mode current, the magnetic field in the same direction will be generated in the coil and the inductance of the coil will be increased, so that the coil is shown as a high impedance, resulting in a strong damping effect. At this time, the common mode current will be attenuated to achieve the purpose of suppressing interference.
