Coarse Mechanical Bar Screen For Wastewater Pretreatment

Mechanical coarse screen is a pre-treatment equipment for large and middle scale water supply and drainage works.This bar screen is widely used for municipal wastewater,waterworks,hydropower station and pump station to intercept and clean bigger floating objects (such as branches, weeds, woodchips,plastic wastes,household wastes and so on).

The mechanical coarse bar screen is made of rotational system,rack,traction chain,underwater guide wheel,attached grid,main grid and slag retaining plate.The rotational system drives the tooth harrows to turn up and down by traction chain. The tooth harrows get down at the back of the grid. Underwater guide wheel changes its direction to the front of the grid in the bottom.The floating objects intercepted by the grid will be seized to the slag discharged part from bottom to top,then they will be transported to the conveyor or garbage truck.

1. Resistance to mechanical and hydraulic overloads due to high tensile design in comparison with other types of mechanized screens;
2. High hydraulic efficiency achieved by using tear shaped bars that cause a pressure gradient to the mesh and across the bar spacing;
3. Tear shaped profile as well protects the screen from waste jamming inside the filtering mesh. By using this design, such blockages can be removed by rakes allowing the screen operate freely;
4. High reliability achieved by the absence of the rotating parts in the submersible part;
5. Submersible parts like casing, bars, chains and rakes are made of stainless steel to improve corrosion resistance in aggressive environments of wastewater;
6. Improved ergonomics: maintainability of the screen due to accessibility of the main units in operation and screen lifting without demounting.
