Ink Block

The Ink Block in a cardboard printing press has several important functions. Firstly, it picks up ink from the ink fountain. Its surface is designed to absorb and hold ink through capillary action and surface tension. For instance, in traditional offset printing presses, the Ink Block's texture enables it to pick up ink evenly. Secondly, it distributes the ink more uniformly across its surface to avoid thick or thin patches. In some advanced presses, mechanisms may rotate or oscillate the Ink Block to enhance this process.
