Mild steel plate (low carbon steel plate) is divided into ordinary low-carbon steel plate and special steel plate, including low-alloy high-strength steel and corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant clad steel plate. Ordinary low-carbon steel plates are divided into two types: cold-rolled steel sheets and hot-rolled steel plates. Cold-rolled steel plates have good surface quality and precise thickness dimensions, and are mostly used for manufacturing car bodies and the like. Hot-rolled sheets are mostly used to make frames and the like.
Low carbon steel (mild steel) is carbon steel with a carbon content of less than 0.25%. Because of its low strength, low hardness and softness, it is also called mild steel. It includes most ordinary carbon structural steels and some high-quality carbon structural steels, most of which are used for engineering structural parts without heat treatment, and some are used for mechanical parts requiring wear resistance after carburizing and other heat treatments.
