Steel bars configured in reinforced concrete structures can be divided into the following types according to their roles:
1. Stress bars -- steel bars that withstand tensile and compressive stresses.
2. Stirrup - bear part of the diagonal tension stress, and fix the position of the reinforcement, used in beams and columns.
3. Frame rib - used to fix the position of the steel hoop in the beam and form the steel bar skeleton in the beam.
