HDPE sheet

HDPE Sheet - High Density Polyethylene Sheet, is a very versatile engineering plastic, it is widely known in large food production plants, all the way to home kitchen environment, it is a good cutting board. HDPE is a lightweight (SG 0.96) and strong material that has excellent sliding properties, good chemical resistance, low moisture absorption and high impact strength at low temperatures (-50°C to +80°C). Easily processed by most traditional methods and is food compliant.Because HDPE is classified as food safe, it becomes the plastic of choice. HDPE Sheet usually has two grades. HDPE 300 and HDPE 500, the number determines the density of the plastic, grade 500 is a denser, slightly harder grade, but also slightly more expensive.

Why choose HDPE sheet?

HDPE sheet has an almost waxy feel and is well suited as a low friction wear strip material, and probably more than any other plastic as wear strips on conveyors or production lines in large companies. HDPE sheets can be machined well on CNC or conventional machines using TCT cutting tools and provide a good smooth surface.
